چکیده

High-precision relative-state measurement technology is one of the key technologies for achieving precision formation flying distributed spacecraft. This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis formation-flying projects spacecraft in various countries. In context practical application, specific mission configuration, orbit distribution, technology, and payload project are summarized. On this basis, relative state techniques outlined first time, using non-autonomous techniques, autonomous new composite techniques. A detailed GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System)—relative measurement, laser infrared RF visible light visual multiple methods conducted. The applicable scenarios each method thoroughly discussed from several aspects, such as technical scheme, system design, accuracy requirements, advantages, shortcomings. addition, proposes concept adopting multidisciplinary optimization architecture perspective overall design It enables selection property indicator optimization, on premise optimizing performance. Finally, direction future development trend flight established.

A Survey of LIDAR Technology and its Use in Spacecraft Relative Navigation

This paper provides a survey of modern LIght Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) sensors from a perspective of how they can be used for spacecraft relative navigation. In addition to LIDAR technology commonly used in space applications today (e.g. scanning, flash), this paper reviews emerging LIDAR technologies gaining traction in other non-aerospace fields. The discussion will include an overview of...

Effects Analysis of Frozen Conditions for Spacecraft Relative Motion Dynamics

The purpose of this rersearch is to analyze the effective application of particular earth orbits in dynamical modeling of relative motion problem between two spacecraft. One challenge in implementing these motions is maintaining the relations as it experiences orbital perturbations (zonal harmonics J2 and J3), most notably due to the Earth’s oblateness. Certain aspects of the orbital geometry c...

A Survey of Cost Estimating Methodologies for Distributed Spacecraft Missions

Satellite constellations present unique capabilities and opportunities to Earth orbiting and near-Earth scientific and communications missions, but also present new challenges to cost estimators. An effective and adaptive cost model is essential to successful mission design and implementation, and as Distributed Spacecraft Missions (DSM) become more common, cost estimating tools must become mor...

Vision-based Relative Navigation for Formation Flying of Spacecraft

The objective of this paper is to develop a robust and efficient approach for relative navigation and attitude estimation of spacecraft flying in formation. The approach developed here uses information from a new optical sensor that provides a line of sight vector from the master spacecraft to the secondary satellite. The overall system provides a novel, reliable, and autonomous relative naviga...

Decentralized Relative Attitude Estimation for Three-Spacecraft Formation Flying Applications

This paper investigates the problem of relative spacecraft attitude estimation between three vehicles from a decentralized point of view. Decentralized attitude estimation is achieved through the use of local extended Kalman filters and a data fusion process known as the Covariance Intersection algorithm. Because the global attitude parameterization is the quaternion, the Covariance Intersectio...
